Veterans' Benefits
Veterans or their surviving spouses who do not have the financial resources to pay for the daily care they need may qualify for special financial assistance. This program is made available by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Aid and Attendance Pension benefit.
Helping Veterans Pay for Senior Living Expenses
The Aid and Attendance Pension Benefit is a tax-free benefit that each month pays qualified individuals up to:
- $1,949 for a Veteran and Spouse
- $1,644 for a Single Veteran
- $1,056 for a Surviving Spouse Who Qualifies
